A couple of comments regarding last night’s show.
(1) A huge tip of the cap to our engineer Hawkeye Mark for coming up with an audible to get us on the air 1 minute before show time. If you plan on listening to the podcast, the first 3-5 minutes you may not hear much if anything, so just fast forward to about the 5 minute mark and the rest of the show will be there. Which is good because you don’t want to miss the AFTER DARK segment.
(2) If you plan on listening to the show with your family, I do recommend that any minors near the computer should not listen to the last segment UNLESS you are totally open as a family. THIS SEGMENT IS INTENDED FOR MATURE AUDIENCES BECAUSE OF THE TOPIC BUT IS INTENDED FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY AND WE DO NOT INTEND TO OFFEND ANYONE.
After all the smoke cleared and we got through last night’s show, let’s take a quick look at what is coming up next week.
We will look back at the renewal celebration that Ricky Cash and his wife, Kami had on May 27th. If all goes well, we should be posting pictures and even a video report from Aaron Phillips of the blessed event. Of course you will have to listen to last week’s show where we dedicated a song to him.
Our in studio guest is a man who does a tribute show to the great comedian, Red Skelton. He performs at the Royal Hotel in town.
Brian Hoffman grew up on a farm in North Dakota. Graduating from high school and starting his own welding business in the oilfields, Brian always used humor to get the jobs he landed. Soon the big oil boom of the 1980’s ended forcing him into driving truck over the road to support his wife and two sons.
As his driving career took him from one state to the next, people insisted he needed to be on stage making people laugh. His response was always the same, “I need a real job to support my family.”
Years of friends and strangers telling him he was funny, Brian finally took a chance and performed at an amateur night in Hilarities Comedy Club located in Cuyahoga Falls OH. He immediately fell in love with the stage and the audience fell in love with him.
After performing 5 nights a week for one week out of every month for six months as the MC for Hilarities, Brian started to feature there every few months. The same time he was working hard securing his own gigs headlining at some private clubs and organizations.
Years of traveling from town to town, working hard to ensure a great show, his fans convinced him that he reminded them of Red Skelton. Brian started ending his show with one of Red Skelton’s Gertrude and Heathcliffe jokes. People loved it and wanted more.
Brian not only looks like Red Skelton, but has mastered the voices, characters, movements, comedy material, and impersonations of the man who for many years was known as ‘America’s Funniest Clown’.
In January of 2005 Brian took a chance and moved to Las Vegas. After years of writing and studying Red Skelton’s routines, Brian Hoffman now performs as Red Skelton in the “Entertainment Capitol of the World”. Check outwww.RedSkeltonComedyShow.com for show times and ticket prices.

NEW MEMBER OF THE VEGAS UNWRAPPED TEAM SET FOR JUNE 2ND
Heather Cornell, entertainment reporter extraordinaire, will be joining Phillips & Cash with a unique perspective on Las Vegas from the “visitor” angle. Heather will provide insight as a contributor for UNWRAPPED TREASURERS, try her hand at Fun Facts, concierge of the chatroom and anywhere else Heather would like to participate. Since she travels a lot for us, she will be calling to join the fun and will be in studio when her travels bring her to Las Vegas.
She grew up in Northern California and still remains their as her main residence! Heather started her own business at 19 years old in the Real Estate industry and still strives to excel in this crazy market after 11 years of experience. She does not stop there, she also has an invention with her mother and is in the current market of big business to sell. Heather is full of fun, laughter, humor, and her style of wit.
She brings another side to Vegas Unwrapped and has her own flair for life. Besides she will finally make Phillips and Cash sound and look even better!
