No June swoon on Vegas Unwrapped.  Since the temperature in The Valley is rising, so is the news in the VEGAS UNWRAPPED UNIVERSE.

To get things started Cash & Cornell provided some great suggestions for things to do in Las Vegas especially over this July 4th holiday.  Heather’s suggestions can be found on the HEATHER’S HELPFUL HINTS page here on the site.  Cash, continued on with his restaurant suggestions since June was food month for him!  Perhaps diet suggestions will be in store for us in July!

 MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT #1: 

Thursday July 15th at 6PM PST, a special edition of Vegas Unwrapped will be unveiling a NEW SHOW.  This is a joint project between TOMART PRODUCTIONS and VEGAS UNWRAPPED.

The title of the show:  TONY MARTINI, MY 50 YEAR JOURNEY.

 

 

TONY MARTINI DOING WHAT HE LOVES

The show will be a retrospective on Tony’s life beginning with his days as a shoe-shine boy in Brooklyn up to today as he prepares to release a new cd. Also Tony wants to share his ideas and experience with those who feel they want to improve their image.  Phillips & Cash have been tapped to host this show.

Tony will be in studio with us so make sure your utilize the video streaming feature of our shows.

We also will be providing the WORLD PREMIERE of his new music over the coming weeks. 

  

 

 

REFLECTING ON A 50 YEAR JOURNEY

Vegas Unwrapped is the ONLY show that has his NEW music and we are excited to be working with the incomparable, TONY MARTINI.  So circle the date for the premiere of this new show.

Karen Gray, from the Nevada Policy Research Institute, joined us on the show to talk about the growing controversy regarding the recent poll that was sent to the principals of the Clark County School District by the board regarding the employment of 90 administrators.  Karen spoke about the reasons a poll like this would be issued and what the possible ramifications could be for the school district and its students. log on to www.vegasunwrappedpodcasts.net to listen to the entire interview.   MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT #2:

Circle July 21st.  We will no longer be on the air from 7-8PM……

The show is going to DOUBLE in size!  We will be airing an hour later but not just for 1 hour…oh nay nay…in Vegas we do things BIGGER AND BETTER…

We will now be on from 8-10 PM PST on our usual Wednesday.

The only reason that we have been able to do this is because of the continuing support from you, our listeners and of course our terrific sponsors. (By the way, check out their page and see what they have to offer and support those who support us.)

Sound Off:  Cash reminded our audience about our efforts to raise money for some great non-profit organizations such as the Susan G. Komen Foundation.  Our next fund-raising effort will benefit the Prostate Cancer Organization.  Details can be found on our Facebook page. The goal is to reach 350 FANS on Facebook by September 1st in order to provide the donation of $1.00 per new member.  That would equate to a minimum donation of $100 on behalf of our Fan Base.

As many of you know, we issued a challenge a few weeks back to help increase our following on our Facebook page for Vegas Unwrapped.  We had enticed the listening audience to become “fans” and to “suggest to friends” to help us a reach a minimum of 250 FANS by Midnight Pacific Standard Time on Father’s Day, June 20th of this year.

This week’s in-studio guests will be none other than Coach John Isola, Head Coach for the Vegas Kings minor league football team.  Along with “Coach ICE”, will be Bill Miller, Head of Marketing & Public Relations.  The team is part of the LCFL which you can find more information about by going to www.lfcl.org. Last year the Kings went 8-2 and made it into the payoffs.  Visit the page here on our site and listen to the interviews that Ricky Cash had with many of those involved with the Vegas Kings.  There are very HIGH expectations for the Vegas Kings this year.  Regular season opens August 14th at Valley High School. 

If you are looking for a cool Father’s Day activity, take Dad back to the 50’s.  The 50’s Diner will be hosting a classic car show on Sunday, June 12th.  There will be other entertainment for the entire family to enjoy. You will want to let Dad select from any of the 39 omelets that are on the menu for breakfast.  This will be fun for the entire family.

Then for dinner take Dad over to Town Center II Lounge and enjoy a huge steak and shrimp dinner to end his day.

But wait a minute…Dad usually takes care of the lawn!  If we take him out, the yard will get over-run by the lawn, grass, weeds and who knows what else!  That’s where W.L.M. LANDSCAPE comes in.  As Dad is basking in the after-glow of a great Father’s Day with the family, Kane and his crew can keep Dad on track by taking care of things for him on Monday.
